Obituary: Philip J. Gastreich (Dec. 19, 1933 - Jul. 31, 2010)

Mr. Philip J. Gastreich, 76, of New Haven passed away Sat., July 31, 2010 at SSM St. Clare Health Center, Fenton, Mo.

Mr. Gastreich was born in St. Louis on Dec. 19, 1933, the son of the late Philip J. and Marie Gastreich.

He was affiliated with Assumption Church New Haven, Mo.

He worked as a millwright at Granite City Steel, Granite City, Illinois.  He also worked at National Lead Co. in Lemay, Mo.

He was the widower of Norine V. (Kemper) Gastreich; they were married in St. Louis.

He is survived by five daughters: Debbie Benson and husband Alvin, Potosi; Yvonne Kajszo and husband Dennis, St. Louis; Pam Smith, St. Louis; Ronda Tayon, Jefferson County; Lisa Glandt and husband Todd, Washington; and one sister, Marie Harrington, St. Louis.  He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife and a grandson Antwon Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at Assumption Church New Haven, New Haven at 11:00 a.m. on Tue., Aug. 3, with Father John Deken officiating.

Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home, New Haven.

Interment at New Haven Cemetery in New Haven.
