Steve and Donna Bockting of Hermann, Mo., have announced the engagement of their daughter, Tara Bockting, to Brian Englert, son of Norb and Janice Englert, also of Hermann.

Tara, a 1996 graduate of Hermann High School and a 2001 graduate of Lincoln University in Jefferson City, is a special education teacher at Hermann Middle School.

Brian graduated in 1992 from Hermann High School and is a 1993 graduate of Universal Technical Institute in Houston, Texas, as a marine service technician. Brian is employed at Eberlin Boats and Motors.

Tara and Brian plan to celebrate the exchange of their weddings vows with family and friends on May 22, 2010 at St. George Catholic Church in Hermann.
