Melinda Helen LaBoube, of Hermann, and Jason James Schmelz, St. Charles, were united in marriage on August 22, 2009 at St. George Catholic Church in Hermann, MO. Father William Debo officiated the ceremony.
Bride’s parents are Gary and Carolyn LaBoube, Hermann. Groom’s parents are David Schmelz and Denise Pohl, St. Charles.

They went whale watching in the Pacific Ocean, drove the coastal highway, toured Yosemite National Park, Napa and Sonoma Valley, took a bay cruise, toured China Town, rode the trolley cars and visited Fisherman's Wharf. Michael and Denise were married on July 7, 1984. They have two daughters Katherine O'Neal and husband Brad of Holt Summit and Julia Witthaus of Hermann. They also have one grandson Austin Riley O'Neal.
