Brownies, cartons of cupcakes and some expertly crafted oatmeal cookies--the baked goods were selling fast Friday morning at the Hermann Eagles Auxiliary Bake Sale and Garage Sale at the Hermann Eagles Hall on Market Street. The sale runs from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Saturday.
'Vernon and Friends' to take Showboat stage May 8 and 9

Hermann's most beloved showman, Vernon Kohlbusch, joked that he calls his show "Vernon and Friends" because "Vernon and Friend" sounded too sad. But the truth is that there are many talented Hermann area residents eager to take the stage beside Kohlbusch for his show at the Showboat Theatre in Hermann.
The first show will be at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 8. A 2:00 p.m. show will follow on Sunday, May 9.
